Mon River Burger Works is Hiring!
We are looking to hire our first team member for our new business. Kitchen experience preferred but not required. Must have some flexibility in scheduling to be available for events and catering. Positive outgoing personality and reliability is essential. This will be roughly a 30 hour a week position to start with a strong possibility of growing into a full time position quickly.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards in production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety management practices
- Follow all safety standards in food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide excellent customer service to food truck customers
Skills
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry helpful but not required
- Familiarity with food safety standards (must hold or be able to acquire a food handlers card for Monongalia County)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for serving guests
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in variable temperatures
